Creating “The Dragon Wagon”

Developed from an original idea by Artistic Director Sarah Simpson, the show you see is the result of a highly collaborative process by a group of multi-talented artists. Beginning with a skeleton “working script”, the cast worked with Co-Director Susannah Cann to devise an opening and an ending to the story. Catty Tucker composed the songs and then actor musicians Jack Hart and Fergus Murphy worked with her to create parts for sax, accordion and guitar. Movement director Annabel Lisk choreographed set pieces.

The exterior of the wagon is made by Designer and Scenic Painter, Robin Aslett. The interior by artist Paul Harrison. Theatrical Engineer, Mike Pattison adapted the caravan and designed and built the big dragon puppet.

Here are some images of the brilliant team of people who have given their skill, expertise, imagination, sense of humour plus lot of time outside in all kinds of weather, to the creation of “The Dragon Wagon”.
